This Privacy Policy explains how Sooqee ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our platform and the storefronts built on it. By using Sooqee, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information: your username, email address, and phone number when you register.
Store information: the store name, branding, products, and content you add.
Order information: customer names, phone numbers, and order details placed through your storefront.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, and usage data collected automatically.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to operate and provide the service, create and manage your store, process orders, handle billing and subscriptions, send service-related messages, respond to support requests, and improve and secure the platform.
3. Cookies and sessions
We use cookies that are strictly necessary for Sooqee to work, and — on our public marketing pages, and only if you accept them — analytics and advertising cookies. We never sell your data.
Session cookie: an essential, HttpOnly cookie that signs you in and keeps you signed in to your dashboard. It is set only after you log in and is cleared when you sign out.
CSRF token cookie: protects your account by confirming that actions such as saving changes or placing an order genuinely come from you, guarding against cross-site request forgery.
These two cookies are required for core features — signing in and keeping your account secure — so they cannot be switched off without breaking the service.
Marketing cookies (Meta Pixel): on our marketing pages we use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure and improve our advertising. It loads only after you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner, is never used on sellers' storefronts, and shares limited event data such as page views with Meta. You can decline it, and change your choice at any time from "Cookie settings" in the footer.
4. Payments and third parties
Subscription billing is handled by Stripe. Storefront payments are processed by the payment provider each seller connects (such as Stripe or MyFatoorah) using their own credentials. We never store full card numbers; payment data is handled by the relevant provider under its own privacy terms.
5. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the platform (such as hosting and payment processors), or when required by law. Information you add to a store is shown publicly on that store's page.
6. Data security
We protect data with encryption in transit, hashed passwords, encrypted payment credentials at rest, and access controls. No method of transmission is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
7. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account at any time.
8. Your rights
You may access, correct, or delete your personal information, and you may request a copy of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
9. Children
Sooqee is not intended for individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
